ZTE:To launch on its own in India, Pan India release by Diwali.

ZTE another Chinese phone major has aggresively announced its entry into the Indian market. The Indian Mobile Industry which is valued at over 31,000crores has been the apple of many a Chinese firms trying to consolidate.
Will the ZTE Grand release this Diwali? Sure will!!
"With our foray into the open handset market in India, we want to become a dominant player here and be among the top 3 in the next three years....handsets already contribute 10 per cent of our revenues here,"ZTE India CEO Xu Dejun said.

While the roost is now held by Indian re-branded players like Micromax, Spice, karbonn et al (incidentally for some of whoM ZTE is the supplier) it is now going to face the heat when all these Chinese companies enter the market on their own.

The Indian rebranders have a good 3-4 quarters to get war ready as we predict that will be all the time the Chinese Companies like Oppo, ZTE, Huawei and more would need before hitting the Indian Markets.

ZTE has tied up with real estate major Calyx for Distribution, Sales and Marketing of ZTE products in India, while ZTE is investing 500crores to get it all started in India.

Calyx Telecommunications ED quoted that their initial release would aim at states like Maharashtra, Goa, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. This will be followed by Pan India release in Diwali of 2013 ending up in consolidation by setting up ZTE My Shops.

Smaller players like UMI, Jiayu, Zopo and others need to pull up their socks before these big daddies of Chinese Mobile Industry make their India forage, or else soon their products may have no takers.

All in all the battle lines are drawn and the Indian Consumer is ready to be spoilt for choice in the coming months, what we call at GizChai "Exciting"
