Micromax Canvas Magnus A117 with 12MP camera, 1.5Ghz Quad Core, HD display at 14999INR($243)

Micromax has silently unveiled the next generation upgrade to its popular Canvas HD aka Canvas A116 in the form of the new Micromax Canvas Magnus A117.

The Phone comes with an upgraded camera unit of 12MP and upgraded 1.5Ghz Quad Core MT6598T chipset. The Canvas Magnus A117 also boasts the same 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) as in the original A116, sadly to maintain the 9mm slim profile of the phone the battery of 2000mAH, internal memory of 4GB remain and 1GB of RAM remain unchanged.

The front camera has been upgraded though to 5MP capable of 720p video recording and runs Android 4.2.2 upgradable to Android 4.3 in Over the Air Updates.

The phone is available currently in black and white and is available online at 14999INR.
