Asus launches MeMO Pad for Rs 9,999- Heats up cheap Tablet Segment

Asus has announced its entry into the budget tablet market in India with the launch of the Asus MeMO Pad. The 7-inch tablet is priced at Rs 9,999. 

After offering various mid and high end products in theIndian market with innovative technologies, we believe it is time to bring the same grandeur to the low-end market," Asus Regional Head ( South Asia) and India Manager(System Business Group) Peter Chang said in New Delhi

Technical Specifications

• The tablet comes with it comes with VIA WM8950 Cortex A9 processor with Mali 400 GPU and 1 GB RAM It’s a single core processor. There are two variants 8GB and 16GB. The 8GB is priced at 9,999

Multiple Colour Options

• The MeMO Pad's screen has a resolution of 1024x600 pixels at 169 pixels per inch

• The Ausu MeMO Pad is available in three colours - Sugar White, Titanium Grey and Cherry Pink.

• The tablet has a 1 megapixel front facing camera that can record videos at 720p resolution at up to 30 frames per second

• Asus has also bundled the Asus Webstorage app with 5GB of lifetime free cloud storage. The Asus MeMO Pad will be available in stores from next week

• The battery is 4270mAh

• Also has Wi-Fi, micro USB port and 3.5mm jack.

• This 7 inch tablet supports 10 point multi touch and being a good brand the screen quality and viewing angles will be much better. There is no built in 3G but you can connect external supported 3G dongle.
