UMI X2: Turbo version delayed till September?? Will the original version come out this month?

UMI X2- Sigh..
No other phone in the market has garnered this many love and hate across the nation. And still the phone is not released. We were very happy to see that finally the phone manufacturer had announced delivery (confirmations) since yesterday. However hot news that just came in seems to further dampen spirits of those still patiently waiting for the phone.
Jody from Androidgroupon a tech blog in based in China has confirmed that the MT6589T processor chips, which was to power the upgraded version of the UMI X2 has been wiped clean off the market!
It comes as no surprise to us as this was expected to happen. MTK powers almost 60-80pc of all smartphones below the the 320USD category in China. MTK6589 powers almost all the low cost quad cores you see in the market today including the Micromax A116, Micomax A111,Zopo Zp980, Jiayu G4, Panasonic P51.. the list is endless.
However fans are reaching their level of tolerance now.
UMI had earlier hastily announced upgrade to Turbo version to all those members who had prbooked the phone. Later they even promised a set of Dr.Dre headsets to pacify irate customers- though this was again greeted with calls for fake headsets being promised.
The latest news now adds more fuel to the speculation fire, Will UMI deliver against all odds?
Or will it end up like Beelabz?
