Despite the obvious fact that the image was clearly doctored several tech sites went ahead speculating on what specs the phone would have, what are the chances of the phone surviving etc etc

Despite the obvious fact that the image was clearly doctored several tech sites went ahead speculating on what specs the phone would have, what are the chances of the phone surviving etc etc
Even fake antutu benchmark scores were posted which had inane specifications like
- 4.5-inch 1600×900 display
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 clocked at 2.0GHz with Adreno 330 GPU
- Android 4.2
- 14.5MP camera on the back and a 5MP camera on the front
- 2GB of RAM
Well before any more damage was done HP has released an official statement which says-
"This is not an HP phone. The photo is a fabrication and is not a photo of anything HP has in the works. Someone is making stuff up!" to Androidheadlines
So much for empty hype!
Lesson learnt: Hype=Dissapointment!
