Micromax A240: First 1080p Android with 1.5Ghz Quad core the Canvas 5?

Barely the dust had settled on the hype and hoopla over the Micromax Canvas 4 has the next round of rumors (read excitement) has begun the next phone from the Micromax Canvas 4 stables.

MMX_newscaster the official leaks and news twitter announcer for micromax tweeted thus 

Now going by the numbering scheme of the Canvas series this new model is higher than the current Canvas 4 which is the A210.

Now one must know well that Micromax's ads and naming system is very random and drawing any conclusions out of this is very difficult.

The A240 is being leaked as predicted in our earlier report 

But since senior Micomax representatives had confirmed that the first 1080p android smartphone from Micromax will be released on September and first announcement in early August, as pointed out by GizChai earlier, this seems to be just a plan on schedule!

So what specs can you expect on the Micromax A240 aks Micromax Canvas 5

• 1.5 Ghz Quad core Mt6589 or MT6589T chipset
• 1GB RAM
• 8+ GB Internal memory
• 2000mAH + battery size
• Android 4.2

We have one request to Micromax though, Please do not hype your phones to the point of disappointment!

You have decent products and customer service and a large customer base who would appreciate a honest smartphone rather than a hyped up, under spec'd and overpriced device.
