All apps must leverage the Samsung Chord SDK, which allows developers to build collaborative, content-sharing apps without a detailed knowledge of networking.
Chord, available for Samsung devices running Android 4.0 or later, can be used to quickly and easily connect nearby devices for real-time interaction, data-transfer, or multi-player gameplay.

Chord, available for Samsung devices running Android 4.0 or later, can be used to quickly and easily connect nearby devices for real-time interaction, data-transfer, or multi-player gameplay.
Samsung will select 10 winners who will receive a total of $800,000 in prize money, plus the opportunity for investment evaluation and app promotion. The First place-prize winner will take home $200,000, while the runner-up will get $100,000. The remaining six winners will receive $50,000.
The judging period will take place during this October and November and Samsung will announce the winners in December.
