While we know that the new Micromax Canvas 4 is nothing but a rebranded BLU life one phone we were quite unhappy with the fact that it has merely an HD screen and 1GB RAM with an old MT6589 processor clocked at 1.2Ghz Quad Core processor.
Call it great timing or plain good luck but even before the Micromax Canvas 4 is released it has a serious competitor and as far as the specs go we are already calling it the winner.
Say hello to the Gionee E6!
The Gionee E6 is the successor for the Gionee E3 and comes with literally double the specs of the E3.
The Gionee E6 will have a 5 inch, full HD 1080p display and will be powered by the latest MT6589T Quadcore Chipset clocked in at 1.5Ghz. The phone is also reportedly said to have 2GB RAM.
The Gionee E6 will also feature cameras which (on paper) are one of the best resolutions you can find in the market today a 13MP primary camera with BSI sensor and Auto focus capable of Full HD recording at 30fps.
The front facing secondary camera of the Gionee E6 will be 5MP capable of 720p video capture and will come with amazing self potrait mode features.
The Phone will run on Android 4.2 out of the box
And did we forget to tell you that the slim (iphone inspired) design reminds us distinctly of the new Huawei Ascend P6 (co incidence? :) The only worrying thing would be the battery as to accomodate the slim profile of 8mm the phone may be forced to use the 2000mAH battery (which we sincerely hope not) .
With a pricing of 18000- 20000INR we expect to have a winner in the hands of Gionee and with the dealer and service network of the best chinese phone in India we expect the Micromax Canvas 4 to be dead on arrival. And likes of UMI X2, Zopo Zp980, Iocean X7, Karbonn S6, Lemon A4 have a stiff competitor.
Official unveiling of the Gionee E6 will take place in Beijing on 10th July 2013, Pricing and availability will be announced in the event. Great going Gionee!!
