Well the world might be still running on MT6589 Chipset and even top phonemakers like Sony and HTC are embracing it in order to introduce more cheaper yet decently powered phones for the emerging markets the Chinese companies are moving ahead of the MT6589 and embracing the new and more powerful cousin the MT6589T (T for turbo) chipsets for all their flagship devices.
Case in point is the Zopo Zp980 (or the Zopo C2) which will now sell only the upgraded version of the phone for people who book it from today onwards as predicted by GizChai back in June,
This comes close in heels of the announcement of the availibility of the upgraded MT6589T Chip bearing UMI X2 yesterday.
The phone will come in three different versions
1) 4GB ROM bearing Zopo C2
2) 16GB ROM bearing Zopo Zp980 and
3) 32GB ROM bearing Zopo Zp980 (ultimate edition)
So what is the Difference between the Zopo C2 and Zopo Zp980? Well Zopo themselves have given the difference in the official video here.
