Gionee E6:Compares to HTC One, Galaxy S4 and Xperia Z.. Says pricing not confirmed.

Well the Gionee announcement about the Elife E6 revealed that it was indeed a beauty of a phone with several unique features but the Chinese pricing of 26000INR (2677yuan) left us wondering if the Phone would release anywhere lesser than 30000INR! Well Gionee has taken to its Facebook page and saying it is not the final official pricing which will be confirmed shortly.

The Gionee E5 with half the specs of the E6 is priced at 20000INR, how mush cheaper will the E6 be then?

It also posted a comparison between the Gionee E6 and market leaders falgship devices like the Sony Xperia Z, Samsung galaxy S4 and the HTC One which obviously would impress any layman out there but any chinese phone fan worth his salt would know right away that this was a david to goliath comparison.

For starters the Gionee E6 uses the Mediatek MT6589T chipset which just shrivels in comparison to a Snapdragon chipset with A15 architecture while the mediatek chipset still runs in A7. The Battery too is a major drawback here with 2020mAH batteryone should consider themselves lucky if it were to last a full day of usage.

Last but not the least with the Gionee E5 priced at 20000INR we do not expect Gionee E6 to be priced anywhere lower than 27000INR. Even if it were to price it below that range the big question still remains if Gionee would be able to muster up big sales at all given the fact that the Indian customer is more worried about durability and all round features of the phone when investing such a huge amount on a device.

Well Gionee its your call, will your pricing save the Elife E6 or merely turn it into a posterboiy with little or marginal sales!
