New Nexus 7 will be my first tablet and here are reasons why it should be yours too!

A tablet never made sense to me till date, except for an iPad. No matter at what angle I would look at an tablet its utility simply failed to make any sense to me. The iPad was different of course, for obvious reasons- that killer screens, mind boggling transitions, perfectly optimised apps: something that no Android tablet seemed to offer and yet I always admired the flexibility and variety offered by android.

Every tablet I looked at either had a SIM slot missing, or had limited storage space, had poor specs or was way overpriced and then the New Nexus 7 from Google just came out and by the looks of it- Boy do I want it!Why?? well here are a few reasons why!

1) iPad Killer Full HD+ screen!
The New Nexus 7 is the definition of "Eye Candy!"
Ok lets face the fact first, when you lug around a 7 inch tablet you want people to go "WOW" and not "huh!" when you turn it on. And Google and ASUS have done just that by endowing the new generation Nexus 7 with a beautiful (and sensible) 1920*1200pixel IPS display which at 323PPI simply blows the “Retina” full-sized iPad (236 PPI) and the iPad mini (163 PPI) out of the park!

2) Quad Core 1.5 Ghz Snapdragon S4 Pro with Adreno 320 and 2GB RAM: The Benchmarks just salute the Nexus 7

Well if you are still reading after reading the top of the line specs then let us show you some of the Benchmarks that have one thing to say to the New Nexus 7: Good just got better!

AnTuTu scrore was an impressive 19883 and Quadrant Benchmark 550, 1,877 on the 3DMark Ice Storm Extreme test, 7188 in 3D Mark. and 30-45 FPS in extreme gaming maxed at 1080p.

3) Android 4.3

The Nexus 7 comes loaded with the latest and greatest Android 4.3 a review of which we had already posted yesterday. which boasts of smoother, faster graphics, power effecient support for Bluetooth 4.0, all new camera interface and more.

4) 5MP Camera, Dual Speakers and SIM card slot (In future models)
Umlike its budget predecessor the New Nexus 7 packs a generous 5MP camera, Dual Stereo speakers in the back of the device and a SIM card slot which enables calling and use of 3G sim for fast internet!

5) Price of a budget phone and specs of a flagship
Last but not the least the Google nexus 7 which was officially launched today comes at a yummy price tag of  $229.99 for 16GB while the 32GB one will cost you $269.99, that means even at an inflated Ruppee value we can expect the Nexus to arrive in India at 16000INR for the 16GB model and 20000INR for the 32GB version unless of course like me you beg the few people you know in the US to get one for you on his/her next trip to India!! :)

I am getting my Nexus 7 what about you?
