Based on Bluetooth low energy wireless technology v4.0 this technology in the upcoming Casio G-Shock GB 6900B And GB X6900B Bluetooth Watches lets you not only control your Media player and set alarm but also offer the following list of Bluetooth features in addition to Casio's legacy roster of G-Shock functions such as a chronograph, countdown timer, world time, alarm, calendar, and blacklight:

• Ability to control smartphone music player in terms of volume, pause/play and moving to the next track.
• Phone can adjust/control G-Shock watch functions such as world time, alarm, countdown timer, time, etc...
• Correct time synchronization as phone updates watch time when traveling
• Incoming call alert on the watch
• Incoming e-mail alert on the watch
• Incoming SMS alert on the watch
• Incoming social media message alert (Facebook, Twitter, Weibo)
• Notification of new calendar event or reminder
• Phone finder (assuming it is within range)
• Tap watch to mute incoming call
• Alert if Bluetooth connection is lost

And if all these features are not enough to wow you let us remind you that the G-Shock watches are shock, dust, water, heat, cold resistant and have a 2 year battery life with 12hrs of Bluetooth usage a day (10 years if you are not using the Bluetooth feature!)

Right now this feature is exclusive to iPhone 5, 4S, and Samsung Galaxy S4  in the International market and a bunch of Japanese Phones. With Android 4.3 update bringing in Bluetooth 4.0 to most Android devices this feature should work on almost all Android Phones in the near future. To activate the feature one must download the "G-Shock+" app from app store or the Google play store.
