Review: Blackberry messenger for iOS and Android

All of us are well aware of the ups and downs that Blackberry (formerly RIM) made while the first launch of BBM for android and Ios and due to a leaked version of the app for android the servers were overloaded and they had to pull out the app from the respective app stores of android and iOS.

I was one of the few lucky ones to grab the app as soon as it came out on iOS for some hours- Well here is my experience so far!

UI : If you have used any BB OS 10 device or BBM on them to be more precise it's almost identical to it or if if you are New to BBM it's very easy to understand swipe based interface.

The red icon with circle around indicates the person has put the busy tag which can be done if you don't want people to disturb you 

Speed: BBM is slower if compared to whatsapp as the msg.'s get delivered to other party in some time where as whatsapp is instantaneous.

This is the Contacts screen here again the red icon can be seen clearly 

Security: BBM is safer as the person on other hand don't need to have you personal phone no. they just need your BBM to contact you.

This is the profile page where you can customize things and also see/copy you BB Pin it even has an option to show your bar code

Invite's: If you have the other person's BB Pin then you can invite them to chat with you it's just like when we send friend request in facebook. If the other person accepts your request you can then chat with them.

Settings: Setting is fairly easy and doesn't need a lot of work to register also the right side bar allows user to do a lot of things like in the pic. 

 the right soft bar (ios) has all options

Listening (music status update) : if this setting is on then whatever you are listening to or watching a video a status will be updated saying you are doing or watching this eg. if you are listening to a song ABC the status will be updated as listening to ABC.

Inviting options : there are various ways to invite someone to use or chat with you on BBM most common is the sharing of pin which is just like sharing our phone no. but with more security as the person doesn't really need's to know your phone no if he has you BB Pin. 

Conclusion: This is a really good app and is worth a use and take my word you won't be disappointed when you get used to it.

Some of you may still be in line as there is a huge load on BB servers you may encounter this kind of things

Tip: use a Gmail client for faster registration a lot of my friends claimed that using Gmail  was faster.
