Acer just lifted the curtains off its latest offering the Acer Iconia A1.
The tablet sports a Quadcore processor (Mostly Mediatek) with 1GB RAM. It runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly bean and comes equipped with touch WakeApp gesture, to fire up apps when swiped in a particular fashion. The 7.9" screen boasts of a 1024*768 IPS-LCD Retina display like the iPad.
The 8GB model is priced at 169.99USD while the 16GB version will set you back by 199.99USD (8000-11000INR) Availability is expected from June and India relase soon thereafter.

The Primary 5MP Camera is capable of full HD (1080p) video recording but lacks flash. The front facing camera will take care of video calling. The tablet also boasts an microHDMI port, microUSB 2.0, WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0 for connectivity.
