UMI X2:Screen+Gorilla Glass worth 10000INR?? Rest of the phone only costs 6000INR???

UMI X2, phew I am actually tired of writing about it. It was such a beautiful dream of a phone but day by day, controversy over controversy is making it a Nightmare to forget soon!

Last time we had reported the UMI X2 developing cracks after short drops and many users showed pictures of their damaged phones on Facebook.

Well this was a great time to check the promised customer support of UMI, which incidentally offers just one month of warranty and one year of "Service Support!" and here are actual quotes from the UMI Customer care for repairing the screen!

Now if all this was not hillarious enough here is another transcript of chat that happened on Facebook, Note- prices have now been revised to 3500INR!!!

And again on call the price was 10000INR. And to top it off Shiva and another "Lucky" customer who had recieved the first batch of UMI mobiles has now been banned from the UMI Forum's completely!!

Perhaps they could not digest the fact that the one person who so fondly wrote about his visit to the Androidguruz Store, A review of his UMI X2 and a person who was till late activley involved in the UMI Active Users Group which is the only true "tech Support" for UMI we could find online so far!

UMI why don't you provide existing customers with honest support? we have all lost faith in the "Coming Soon" range of mobile phones you keep updating month on month- atleast we could have some faith left if you took some care of your existing customers atleast!
