Gionee Gpad G3 to succeed the Gpad G2, but with downgraded specs?

The Gionee Gpad 2 is probably one of the most underrated phones in the Indian market, and perhaps its less than stellar camera is to blame. But Gionee which is riding on a high after the launch of its flagship Gionee E6 is no mood to lose the wave by announcing a sequel in the form of the Gpad G3.

The Gpad G3 comes with the same 1.2 Ghz Quad Core processor as the original, a downgraded 5MP Camera and a smaller 2250mAH battery. 1GB RAM and PowerVRGSX 544 GPU is still there and the screen is a 5.5 inch FWGA screen.

Now you might be wondering what is the point of a downgraded spec becoming a sequel to a bigger and better phone? Well the price is what matters here. The Gpad G3 will reportedly be priced within the 12000INR price bracket.

Will The phone succeed where the bigger Gpad could not make much of an impact? Questions remain to be answered by the sales figures! Or will the Specs be upgraded to a better 1.5Ghz Quad Core Chipset and the same 3000mAH battery in the final version?
