Samsung Galaxy Note 3: Why I would give this "Note" a miss!!

First things first the Galaxy Note 3 is a brilliant phone!

It has the specs that will spawn a new breed of Phablets all around the world, be it the new materials used on the phone (Faux Leather!) , the beautiful screen 1080p Super AMOLED HD, the Octacore processor or the Industry first 3GB RAM! want more check the intro video below.

But still I would be giving this iteration of the Note a miss, why??

Well here are some of the reasons why

1. Its more of an evolutionary and not an revolutionary update. These specs are something which can be easily be countered in months and we will have better phones with lower prices soon.
2. The battery has not kept up with the development of the phone, with onus on making the phone more and more sleeker the battery has got a mere 100mAH upgrade over its predecessor the Galaxy Note 2.
3. The Octocore is an overkill unless you are an heavy gamer. For all practical purposes an optimised Quad Core is better than Octacore any day.
4. Andoid Kit Kat will take a year to reach the Note 3! Just like the Note 2 which despite being a flagship phone is stuck with Android 4.1.2 it would take an serious overahaul in Samsung's policies to get updates pushed out more periodically.
5. 13MP camera is good but for a phone which will be priced close to 45000INR on launch it seems natural and nothing special.

So for now I am sticking to my trusty Note 2 and for all Note 2 owners please stick to your phones for now. Besides Note 4 is just 11 months away!! Till then enjoy..
