iOcean X7 rebranded and launched in India as Wickedleak Wammy Passion Z at 14990INR ($266).

While the likes of UMI are struggling to release their Full HD quad cores in the Indian Market Wickedleak has taken the big leap ahead by announcing its first Full HD (1920*1080p resolution) Smartphone titled Wammy passion Z.



But any Chinese phone lover or any one following Chinese phones recently will know at a glance that this is nothing but a rebranded youth version of the iOcean X7!

The key specs of the phone are

• Quad core MTK6589 ARMv7 cortex A7 clocked at 1.2GHz with PowerVR SGX 544MP GPU.
• Android 4.2.1.
• 1GB RAM, 4GB internal storage and micro SD support up to 32GB.
• 5 inch IPS LCD screen with 1920×1080 pixels resolution (443ppi). 5 point multi touch. and Asahi Dragontrail glass for scratch protection
• 12MP rear AF camera (BSI sensors) with LED flash and front 2MP camera. Full HD (1080p) video recording and playback supported.
• 3G, 2G, GPS with A-GPS, Wi-Fi (b/g/n), micro USB, FM radio, 3D speakers,  3.5mm audio jack and Bluetooth.
• Sensors : G-Sensor, magnetic, light, Gyro and proximity.
• 2500 mAh Li-Po battery.
• Dual SIM 

The Phone is 8.9mm slim and weighs 150gms.The handset is listed on the Wickedleak site where you can preoder it. Shipping of the phone is expected to start from 15th June.

The Specs of the Wammy Passion Z are the same except the battery which seemed to be enhanced from 2050mAH to 2500mAH. and the Dragontrail glass.

Also the camera here is a 12MP as against the 8MP (although this can be easily achieved by Software hack, it just increases the pixels)

The great thing is you will get the iOcean in India finally, the design is sleek sexy and reminiscent of the Oppo Find 5 and Sony Xperia Z. You get Dragontrail glass and 12MP camera with 500mAH battery extra as a bonus over the Youth iOcean X7.

Flip points are at 14990INR it is way beyond the 9999INR (Approx price) in the International markets. You get the Huge (ugly) Wickedleak Logo and spares and service is a big Question mark.

If it is a Quad core, Full HD screen you want then the Zopo Zp980 is a very good phone and it comes with a price tag of 3000INR lower than the Wammy Z.

All those tired of waiting for the UMI X2 this is a great alternative too!
