Micromax is living up to its tag line "Nothing Like Anything", even though many fans were disappointed from the Canvas 4 which ultimately turned up to be a BLU life one as predicted, the reaction from the industry was far from muted.
Xolo, Gionee and even Androidguruz reacted swiftly by releasing their new products and plans for upcoming phones in the Indian market.
But Micromax reveled two new developments in the works which is bound to send more shivers in the Indian mobile space.
The first one is a natural progression that of introducing a Full HD Quad Core Android powered smartphone. The phone will be announced (leaked) as early as August end and we may see the release in September.
The next piece of news is plain market disruption and portfolio diversification from Micromax- Entering the Windows Phone segment by releasing a string of new Windows 8 powered phones for India.
Now that is excitement indeed and something that even Microsoft should take note of if they want to dramtically improve adoption rates of their Windows Platform in the 3rd largest Smartphone market in the World.
With companies like Lava introducing Mozilla Firefox OS based phone late in the last quarter of 2013 it is exciting to see such big and bold moves like micromax living upto their tagline "Nothing like anything!"
