Spice Mi-525 Pinnacle FHD:1080p, 1.5Ghz QuadCore answer to the Canvas 4.

Micromax defines the market trends in India, not Samsung, nor Nokia cretes the kind of reaction when Micromax releases a new mobile phone in the market. The Canvas 2 did it by bringing the first budget dual core phone to India, Canvas HD the first budget phone in India to sport an HD screen and now the Canvas 4 which comes with a host of innovative features to the boot like 16GB inbuilt memory, 13MP primary camera, Gorilla Glass etc.

But other mobile companies are not sitting quietly either and are responding swiftly by announcing new releases, cutting prices of existing models or announcing models with Full HD resolution something that was sorely missed in the Canvas 4.

Introducing the contender flagship from the Spice stables, the Spice Mi-525 Pinnacle FHD. The Pinnacle FHD has a 5.0-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) display, powered by 1.5 GHz quad-core MT6589T processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). 

The rear camera is however merely a 8 megapixels unit with built in LED flash having Full HD video recording at 30fps . There is a secondary camera of 2MP resolution. There is 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4, micro USB and 3.5mm audio jack. The battery is 2100 mAh capacity.The phone has dual SIM support with dual standby.

In the software department Spice has spruced the  with features, that seem to become common nowadays, like Pop- up play to play, Flip to Mute to mute the calls, Intelligent Answer; Direct Call and Spice Cloud backup support with seamless data sync and 2GB of free data storage. 

The Spice Pinnacle FHD Mi-525 is priced at Rs. 16,990 and is available from Saholic (ships on 20th July). It would be available through major retail stores across India from 20th July, 2013.

However at an asking price of 16990 one can get the 16GB version of the Zopo Zp980 turbo, or the UMI X2 turbo. Now if only they bring a ton of phones to the market ASAP we need not spend time poring over these wannabe's :)
